It seems like we are getting a lot of practice at loving each other during sickness this week. Carlo went to the doctor on Tuesday morning about some abnormalities in his blood work that was taken when he was sick right before we left for San Francisco. He had to have a series of more tests and we are impatiently waiting for the results. I went to the doctor today only to be told I have a severe throat, nose, and chest infection and I have fluid leaking in my ears. I’m also highly contagious which means I had to stay at home today and can’t go into work tomorrow either. Looking at my work email, one of my coworkers is also off sick today with a sore throat so hopefully I haven’t already infected the entire office.
So our first week as newly weds hasn’t necessarily been what we expected, but I did get a huge kick out of having the ability to ask our doctor about my husband’s test results when I was at the doctor this morning. I love how official the term husband sounds and it sure as hell beats my boyfriend of eight years.
